Hello and welcome from us, Laurentius and Riaan ( fishing guide ). We are two very keen shore anglers from George in South Africa. George is situated in the picturesque Garden Route on the south coast of South Africa

As fishing enthusiasts, we have decided to start our own website specific for the angler in the Garden route. This site is aimed at giving fishing advise for shore anglers based anywhere throughout the Garden Route, from anglers just starting out to the more advanced angler.

I first started out fishing for bass in our local dams about six years ago. With bass not so active on the biting side during the winter months, I was searching for alternative fishing adventures.

I have resorted to shore angling and I have never looked back. My favourite specie to target is Cob. As with any fishing, there are so many factors that you must know to be successful at your game.

My advice to anyone starting is to make friends with experienced fishermen that can show the ropes, and to read as many books about the type of fish and angling that you like to target.

Be a wise, careful and responsible fishermen. Take care of your environment and appreciate our beautiful Garden Route.
